Our trustees are elected by a group of around 125 Charter Members.

Day-to-day management of Independent Age is the responsibility of a small senior management team, supported by around 70 staff and 1,300 volunteers.

Our Charter Members are chosen for their understanding of older people's issues, or because they have a particular expertise in areas that we need to rund the charity, such as knowledge of investment, fundraising or communications.
