How we can help

Currently we are considering all requests for funding for people of all ages who are sick, in poor health or disabled and require medical items and services to improve their quality of life. However, if funding is limited under the remit of the Trust deed, preference will be given to people who have professional, secretarial, or administrative qualifications.

We help with:

• respite care
• medical and other aids, eg 
  • nebulisers
  • TENS machines
  • recliner chairs
  • electric beds
  • orthopaedic mattresses
  • mobile hoists
  • neater eater feeding aids
  • sensory equipment
  • communication aids ie lightwriters
  • specialist software
• household aids, eg washing machines
• refrigerators for essential drug storage
• secure drug cabinets
• assistance with hospital visiting expenses

However, grants are not usually given for:

• car purchase or car adaptations
• electric wheelchairs, scooters or buggies
• holidays, exchange visits, nursing home fees
• debts or repayments
• general clothing
• computers
• general house furnishings
• house furnishings
• stairlifts
