Who should apply
The application should be made of behalf of the client by:

• Social workers
• Occupational therapists
• Doctors
• Health centre staff
• Charities.

The application should contain a brief medical history of the client and verification of the need for assistance.

Under normal circumstances, grants can only be given to any one household at intervals of three years. Applications are considered by the grants committee monthly under the chairmanship of Lady Aird. In between meetings, urgent applications can be dealt with by Ann Griffiths in conjunction with a member of the grants committee. If a large grant is required, we might be able to part-fund it. FNAIST aims to respond promptly and sympathetically to requests.
